ANHS TEAL TOWN TIDBIT FOR DECEMBER

“Teal Town Tidbit”   Each month, the Aliso Niguel High School Family of Schools will feature a short “tidbit” about the amazing schools in the Aliso Niguel High School feeder pattern.  Here is our December Tidbit…

On November 1st the District-wide Secondary Professional Growth Day occurred throughout the district for all of our secondary schools.  The day highlighted the success of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).  In addition, the day was a collaborative effort by many educators where learning was supported by experts in the field, to continue to align curriculum, instruction, and assessment across the district.  All secondary schools located in Aliso Niguel participated in this successful professional development.

On December 22nd, all of the elementary schools in Aliso Niguel will participate in a day similar to our colleagues.  The focus will be on Professional Learning Communities at the elementary level.  All schools will have a school wide focus supported by the PLC philosophy.  Topics will include establishing norms, review of school-wide assessments, and other pertinent topics to the school.  Elementary schools will collaborate and lead their schools in rich discussion on ways to enhance student success at the elementary level.
